I am in safe mode and I got the first solution to run the scan but anything after that won't even open. You can do one thing, you can run "SFC" command in command prompt. Naturally I started thinking there was a problem with a driver or something in startup. I then came across this website and started with Solution 1 and it fixed the problem.
