Win7 Won't Sleep

My settings in Power options are all to turn off after 10 or 15 minutes. Really, who likes a glaring (literally) distraction while watching a movie or having a bright light on in the room when you're trying to sleep. Every method to put this computer to sleep (automatically after a period of inactivity, through the start menu, or by closing the lid) results in the computer going to sleep, then Power Management * Uncheck: "ALLOW THIS DEVICE TO WAKE UP THE COMPUTER" That will take care of the problem-- at least the one that this causes. http://ksresource.net/windows-7/need-to-backup-files-from-win7-rc-to-win7-pro.html

This is something that only started recently. I have tried a test, and as soon as I restart the computer and login, I put the computer to sleep immediately and it does it correctly. It does the usuall stuff starts to log off and screen eventually goes blank but my pc doesn't shut off.
